I am often drawn to true originators of the new hip hop sound and wonder where it will all play out in the grand scheme of music. I mean Mozart was not appreciated until hundreds of years later as well as many of the finest composers of this world. Jay Dilla can be put in a category all himself and with the release of Donuts he takes his game to another level. Although beat CD's are a great idea they often don't serve there purpose while Donuts serves up a grand offering of sounds to come. Set forever in time and space now with the passsing of this great producer/MC Donuts will forever be a healthy offering of something with plenty of flavor and originality, R.I.P. Jay Dilla--Spinz

The day I received this album was the day I found out about Jay-Dee's passing. I just want to say that I am a hugh fan of all stones throw artisists - and Donuts keeps true to their roots.From a beat makers perspective this is probably the most innovative beat collections that I've heard.Extremely technical beats with pitch slides midtrack on some of them well thought out and executed very well.Viva Stones Throw!! Jay-Dee will live on forever through the music R.I.P. Representing the 206 Dj ARTEEZ aka 2-21
