FatBeats.com
acts both as a portal of information about the company,
and as an independent online retail store. While we are
under the same umbrella as the retail stores in New York,
Los Angeles, and Amsterdam, FatBeats.com is a separate retail
company, operating from Fat Beats headquarters in Brooklyn,
NY. While our catalog online is very similar to the stock
carried in our stores, items and prices may vary slightly.
Similarly,
we cannot ship from our locations in Los Angeles or Amsterdam,
nor can we have orders picked up at the store. Information
on all of our retail locations can be found on our
LOCATIONS page.
Do
you offer gift certificates?
Gift
certificates are available at all Fat Beats retail locations,
but unfortunately not yet available for FatBeats.com.

I place my order by phone, fax, or mail?

we only accept orders through the website

At
the present time, we only accept credit card payments from
a valid VISA, MasterCard or American Express card. While
we hope to add capability soon, we currently do not accept
Paypal.

ships my order?
For
orders within the continental U.S., we use UPS. We ship
internationally through the United States Postal Service.

FatBeats.com ship overseas?
Yes.
We ship internationally via the United States Postal Service.
Internet retail businesses are very vulnerable to fraud,
so for first time customers, we often need you to take an
extra step to verify your address as a means to activating
your account. Unfortunately, we can only know if this is
necessary after your order is placed, and all additional
information and instructions will be given at that time.
How
long will it take to receive my order?
All
domestic orders are sent out by UPS. East coast should take
approximately between 1-3 business days, midwest 3-4, west
coast 4-5. International orders shipped by air should take
about a week or two. As our catalog is very extensive, our
stock rotates just like any record store, and sometimes
there are delays to restock certain items. If there is particular
urgency with your order (e.g. DJ gig, gift), please tell
us all about it in the comments section when placing your
order. We do our best to keep all of our customers updated
on the status of your order. If you have any questions on

How
much will shipping cost?
Unfortunately,
there are no set shipping charges. Rates fluctuate, and
while our automatic estimation system is reliable, it is
imperfect. Sometimes our estimated shipping rates can be
disproportionate for weight and size, meaning that an order
for the same number of vinyls and CDs may be incorrectly
estimated as costing about the same to ship. All shipping
charges will be adjusted appropriately upon completion of
the order. Be assured that we’re interested in building
a relationship with our customers, not in getting that extra
few dollars from overcharging for shipping.
Why
is it so expensive to ship overseas!?!
For
our international customers, our rates on large orders are
sometimes inflated by our automated system. This, again,
is a product of an imperfect automated system and of fluctuating
rates. While we are unable to guarantee specific rates for
shipping, one can gather rough estimates at http://ircalc.usps.gov/.
Large orders for our international customers often see drastic
reductions in shipping charges when the order is completed.
Do
you give discounts on large orders?
Fortunately
for our customers, our prices are already as low as they
can go. Unfortunately for those seeking discounts, our prices
are already as low as they can go. Do keep in mind, however,
that large orders always experience a lower cost of shipping-per-item.
I
am a retailer. Can you sell product to me wholesale?
Fat
Beats Distribution handles all wholesale inquiries from
retailers. Contact them via phone at 718-875-8191, and ask
to speak with the general manager, or send an e-mail to
info@fatbeats.com.
What
is your return policy?
Requests
for returns are to be reviewed individually at info@fatbeats.com,
and are granted based on its unique circumstances. Please
contact us before you return the product to make sure that
we'll accept it. We cannot always accept responsibility
for warped records. Contact UPS if your package is damaged
or appears to be tampered with.
Do
you have a printed catalog?
Our
catalog is very extensive and constantly changing, therefore
it's impossible for us to provide an updated print copy.
I'm
looking for a record that's not in your online catalog; can
I make a special order for it?
You
can request any record we don't have by sending an email
to info@fatbeats.com. We’ll do our best to get it
for you.
How
do I go about getting Fat Beats to manufacture or distribute
my product?

Please include a letter explaining
what you are looking for, as well as a one-sheet or any
additional information about you and your product. Be absolutely
certain to include your name and contact information ON
the product as well. The A&R department reviews everything,
but due to the volume of submissions, we cannot return each
item we receive. Also due to the volume of material we receive,
we cannot review MP3 files via e-mail. Fat Beats is very
selective with our product, and we will only contact you
if we are interested. There is no need to email back asking
about your product.
