Hip Hop
Are you Hip Hop or a fan of Hip Hop? Just like anything in life, in order to be part of something, you have to understand it and participate. Do you know your Hip Hop history? The founding fathers of Hip Hop, why and how Hip Hop came about? Do you know how this culture spread and who was responsible? What is your art in Hip Hop? God gave us this art form which started out very positive and spread very quick but then the Devil aka money came in and you have today's Hip Hop industry which revolves around money rather than art.
I got involved in Hip Hop in 1981 first with graffiti and then in 1982 as a rocker (up-rockin') which turned into b-boying. We used to practise b-boying (break dancing) everyday in someones basement. In 1985 I started deejaying with my friends from 88Hip Hop. I've kept involved in all three of these art forms all my life which is the back round of Fat Beats. I am first a child of God, then a deejay/b-boy/graff writer and that's why I'm in the Hip Hop culture.
