influence

We all know that your influenced by those around you. Rap albums these days have a lot of artwork that go along with the project. It's not like back in the days when it was all about the music. The scene has evolved and rappers and producers are very involved with their cover art and use it to help sell their records. I look at a lot of my favorite artist and their art and have to imagine that they weren't in the hood or the birth of Hip Hop, the Bronx, or even in places like Compton or South Chicago when they were deciding what cover art to use on their albums.
So I wonder if these artist have Hip Hop around them when they do their art because you hardly see Hip Hop art on any rap albums these days.
Some say Hip Hop has evolved which I agree with but I disagree on how the art evolved. Hip Hop art is graffiti and graffiti has evolved. If you say it's anything else then it's not Hip Hop, rather it's Hip Hop influenced. Graf is still the art of Hip Hop and graf artist these days do amazing things. You just don't see it in rap albums.
