Happy Holiday versus Merry Christmas
As a youth growing up in the 80's, Merry Christmas and happy new year was the term used around this time. Most people, regardless of what they believed respected the idea of Christmas and didn't veer away from the term. In today's politically correct society we've adapted the term, happy holiday. Most people don't know that the word holiday comes from the word Holy day. So politically correct people are actually saying Happy Holy day.
