God First

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

On a few occasions I've had family and friends inquire about my belief and to there surprise I told them that I am a child of God before anything. That was disturbing to my questioner's as they insisted I was born Armenian. This is true but I also have had a second birth into the kingdom of heaven and always put God first.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.

No dis-respect to my Armenian brothers and sisters because I am still 100% Armenian but as a follower of God's word, I am a Christian first before anything human.

Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is risen; He is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

No one knows where the actual burial place is for Jesus Christ. There are a few speculations but no actual proof of his remains. The reason for that is because He sits at the right hand of God interceding prayers for all who believe in Him.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. 7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.

The Christian faith, the way of God, should not be intertwined with the history of so-called Christian men. The actions in history are not necessarily the way of God. Only through the Bible can you learn the truth about God's plan. A lot of men have used God's name for something utter than saving people's souls, but one of the reason's the Bible was written was for that purpose.

Last I checked and according to all statistics, the mortality rate for humans is still 100%. Why not go for the best plan for mankind and make that leap of faith towards the kingdom of heaven and maybe one day this Psalm can refer to you too.
Psalms71:20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

tithing for a Christian

Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. (everything on this earth belongs to the Lord, even what we think we work hard for)

1 Peter
2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, God’s own people; that ye should show fourth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: (all Christians who follow the scriptures are priests to some extent)

Matthew
23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. (Jesus said to have mercy and faith BUT, not to leave the old ways, meaning tithing)

1 Corinthians
16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. (Paul reminds the churches to continue to give and instructs when they should give.)

Mark
12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
12:43 And He called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. (tithing alone doesn't get you into heaven but it is required to some extent. The church needs support in various formats in order to survive and spread the Word. Money always helps, but you can donate time, expertise, equipment, knowledge, experience, etc. Always remember who Jesus said cast more into the treasury. A Christian should willfully give more than ten percent of what he or she has to God.)

bowing down


9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Philippians 2

This passage is suggesting that every knee should bow to the name of Jesus. It’s the best suggestion one can get because sooner or later every knee WILL bow to Jesus but only those who willfully bow, while there in their flesh, will receive the glory of God’s kingdom. Many people had and continue to have great knowledge on how to live better and be in peace with oneself. We strive for a better world and peace amongst nations but as we can see it’s not happening the way we would like it too. There are numerous organizations around the world helping nations and people out, but without Jesus in your life, your struggle will go in vain.




If you don’t know God’s plan for humankind, I suggest you learn it and that can only happen by studying God’s word, the Bible. He gave you a brain and the breath that you breathe so why not read His word with it. It would be the best thing you ever did for yourself, by far.

giving

A tenth part of one's annual income contributed voluntarily or due as a tax, especially for the support of the clergy or church.
The institution or obligation of paying tithes.


Giving is to be based on first having given oneself to the Lord and in proportion to love (2 Cor. 8: 5, 8)

responsibility


Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. On your day of judgment, only you will be responsible for your beliefs and the lifestyle you chose. No person, church, synagogue, mosque, temple, place of worship, religion or anything else but yourself will have to answer to God. He is Truth and Judgment and knows each and every ones heart and intentions. Not even Moses was able to see the promise of God because he didn't follow what God had told him. Learn the truth and the truth will set you free.
