A City College graduate, Chris Atlas began his career as an intern at Tommy Boy Records and quickly rose through the ranks, holding roles including Product Manager, National Director of Rap Promotion, A&R, and founder of the Tommy Boy black label. He later served as VP of Urban Marketing & Radio Promotions at Cornerstone, SVP/EVP of Marketing at Def Jam Recordings, and SVP/Head of Urban Marketing—ultimately EVP Urban Music & Marketing—at Warner Records.
A Culture Creators Award recipient and three-time XXL Hip Hop Heavyweight (2022–2024), Atlas founded Atlas Entertainment LLC in 2023 and was appointed President of Fat Beats Distribution in 2024.
