Virginia emcee Awon and Washington, D.C. production duo The Other Guys join forces on Solidified, a ten-track album built on soulful samples, hard drums, and vivid storytelling. Produced entirely by The Other Guys, the record pairs deep, brooding basslines with Awon’s smooth delivery, balancing musical warmth with lyrical weight. Guest appearances from Rob Cave and DJ Eveready complement a focused collaboration grounded in lived experience, sharp observations, and natural chemistry.
From the reflective “Ice Rink” to the detailed social commentary of “New Notes,” Solidified rewards close listening while keeping heads nodding. Released through HiPNOTT Records and Don’t Sleep Records, the album earned a spot in Bandcamp Daily’s Best Hip-Hop of June 2026.
